Default What about these apt buildings?

Hi, sorry we've been out of touch - we were in the middle of our move and didn't have internet. Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Do you guys know anything about these buildings/surrounding areas/safety:

Southside Towers, Lofts at the Highland, Theresa Park Lofts and The Continental Life Building?

We are looking at 2 bedrooms in each of these - we have narrowed it down to these four, but we are open to other suggestions you might have.

Thanks again for all of your help!

Hi there, wow, I just read through all of these and I am so thankful because I too am relocating to St Louis in two weeks! My husband and I are both 28, no kids and have a dog. My husband works from home and I'll be working at Nestle Purina downtown. We have narrowed our apartment search down to 4 places, two of them are in Lafayette Square and two are in Tower Grove. All four are townhouses with 2-3 bedrooms. One of the two places in Tower Grove is about 10 blocks south of the park just a few blocks west of Grand. And the other place is just on the left side of the Reservoir Park. Could you give me some advice as to which places we should consider and which ones we might want to avoid? Already I can tell you that for the same amenities, Lafayette Square is more expensive, but is there that much more to do there? Please help, thanks!!!!

Trying to rent a four/five bedroom home in the Clayton school district. How do I go about finding a reliable tenant? First time landlord and don't know how to go about it.

Help! My husband and I will be moving to Stl this month. I have a job, he is still looking. We do not have a place yet, and have no idea where to start. We do not know the streets, nor the area. We are getting absolutly terrified. It is just us, the kids are grown. We are both christians and in the ministry and we don't even have a church. We have given notice on our place and there is no turning back now. My new job is in Frontenac. Is this a big area? would this be an area that we would want to live in? We would appreciate any help we can get. Thanks

Frontenac is very upper middle class. If you can afford it, nothing wrong with Frontenac or any of the areas surrounding it. ....Frontenac is centrally located, less than 10 miles to downtown to the West.(which is a plus for you) Frontenac, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Des Peres, Ladue, Huntleigh, Brentwood, Rock Hill, Clayton, Creve Coeur, Town & Country .....are all in or near there and are all fine areas...some very expensive exclusive, some middle class, some upper middle class. You could also consider Richmond Heights, parts of Maplewood etc....depending on many things.

But to answer your question, Frontenac is small, upper middle class, higher end pricing.

You'll find a Church without a problem.

Hi.. I'm new to this and just stumbled upon it when I was looking for a place to live. I too am hoping to move to the St.Louis area after I graduate from college in December. I don't have a job yet and am getting really frustrated. I have started looking for apartments but don't know where is a good central location that is safe. If anyone has any leads on a job in Public Relations/Advertising/Marketing or a good place to live I would appreciate any advice.

Would recommend areas near Delmar, University City, Central West End, etc. Area is easy to get to/from, has access to Metro Link, college-type atmosphere yet historic and cool. Do you have any other interests as to where to live? For example, Forest Park is very nice, and also not too far from CWE.

As to job, guess you've looked at monster, stltoday.com, riverfronttimes.com, and so on too?

Good luck!
