BRT down Grand would be such a huge improvement so many folks living in South City -- particularly in Tower Grove. Would love to see the N/S Metrolink line built, but solid bus transportation would sure hold people over.

Very true, but I think that something needs to go down Kingshighway either a rail line, streetcar, or BRT.

Also in my fantasy world with the Delmar streetcar I wish they would seriously think about sending a line down Lindell/Olive so Downtown, Midtown, Grand Center, Central West End, and The Loop are all connected. Plus it will be better connected then the current rail line we have that is out of the way from SLU, The Fox and the Euclid business district.

Is it just me or does "high speed BRT" sound like an oxymoron?

It's more repetitive I feel like. High-speed bus rapid transit. That's a lot of references to the speed at which this thing travels. Does anyone actually call it that?

If Metro wants to build their Daniel Boone Corridor, why don't they just build it so that the Central Midland Railway's (the railroad whose right-of-way they would have to parallel) can run along side Metro like RSSM trains did between Grand and CWE stations on that old auxiliary track for a while? The CMR trains only run 2 three times per day, and Metro could easily work with Ameren (who owns CMR) to build the corridor and rebuild the CMR right of way so that Metro's tracks can run alongside the CMR without having to build diamonds or crossings that would slow down either service. Metro already has inter-lockings that allow itself to "single track" for maintenance, so they can build inter-lockings along the way or maybe sidings that way if CMR needs to back into one of its spurs to make deliveries, Metro can go onto one of those sidings without having to wait for the CMR to finish.
