Thinking about taking my toddler to Eckert's to do some apple picking. Which is better - the Bellevile or Millstadt location?

Both are fine for apple picking but the Belleville operation has more things going on. Belleville has a nursery, a grocery store, a restaurant, ice cream stand, a petting zoo, some small fair rides for toddlers. I went to Millstadt once for the Haunted House and that was cool but I don't remember there being as much of the other stuff. The Belleville location is a blast, by the way, for some good old fashioned family fun - you and your toddler will enjoy it.

I was just asking a coworker from IL this same question the other day. In addition to what Zach said, it sounds like the Millstadt location charges to get in, and Belleville is free.

Thanks for the tips. We ended up going to the Belleville location and had a great time. Does the Millstadt location charge just for apple picking, or only if you want to do the kids' activities?

Millstadt charges just to get in. Here is what the site says
  • Regular Admission $10.00/person (2 and up)
  • Fun Saver Admission $5.00/person (Tuesday-Thursday 9-3)
  • After School Special FREE Admission (Tuesday-Thursday 3-6)
  • Under 2 – FREE
We tried Millstadt last year and they had some of the attractions closed and were still charging full price so we will be going to the Belleville farm. We always had a good time there.
