My only bad experience with cops was was with the moron in South Carolina that nailed my friend and me in a speed trap (60 mph into a 30mph) We had jersey plates on a cadillac back in the early 1980's.
We spent 5 hours in a holding cell driving the cop insane (inane questions, chain gang songs, etc we were college students, we could do anything we want!) before he asked us if we wanted to call a bondsman. My friends "famiglia" was well "connected" in atlantic city. We received an apology letter from the cop and a refund from the bondsman about a month later.
I've noticed a lot of cops on I-70, especially between O'Fallon and St. Peters. The give you some leeway, but if you drive like a moron, you SHOULD get a ticket. The three types of cars I see pulled over a lot are the Methhead POS (usually a 15 year-old car that being held together with Tape and rust, The SUV driven by some 30 year old women on a cell phone, and rice rockets.

While I was home a couple weeks ago, I was driving up 55 between Richardson Rd and Lindbergh, I counted no less than 10 people pulled over on that stretch, every make and model imaginable!
Is that many cops pulling folks over in that short a stretch normal? Seems like an accident waiting to happen!

Enforcement, as a rule, generally increases during times of economic challenge, as the municipalities/cities/states do not have the optimal revenue stream in flow and therefore need to fleece the taxpaying driver for additional funds.
Of course, in Bella Villa, I guess it's always a recession environment..
One should not speed in urban or densely populated areas/neighborhoods - too dangerous. However, if you're out in the sticks and want to pin it, just make sure you have a good, contemporary radar detector. Here's the one the wife and I use:
Escort Passport 9500ix Radar Detector - Blue Display

^ There were actually a couple of accidents that I watched happen in the above described incident, it was just kind of crazy, like watching bears snag salmon during spawning season.

I drive around all the time. Never had a ticket anywhere in the St. Louis Metro. The "undercover" cars say POLICE on the plates... geez. Btw, you should get a radar detector too for long drives out in the country.

What a mind numbing post. You only speed to work, and they have the balls to give you a ticket? I am shocked and appalled.
For the sake of others on the road, I hope you lose your license.

I would love to see cops nail tailgaters and the idiots that hog the left lane (refusing to let others pass).
I also hope there is a law passed that will prevent people from using a hand held or texting while driving

May I make a suggestion - the Escort Passport 9500I - I purchased one and it got me from STL to Topeka in 3.5 hours
RadarTest.com - Best radar detector reviews from the world's most respected authority.
Oh Yeah - and SCREW these people who jump on their hypocritcal pulpits and side with the police - let them get pulled over for speeding, drunk driving, driving without a seat belt, which they have ALL done, probably on Saturday night right after confession. Missouri's state animal is the mule/jackass - "Damn the law, I'll do things my way!" Jesse James? Belle Starr? These names ring a bell?

Yes, criminals. Your personal heroes?
If you want to break the law, and perchance kill or maime someone shut your mouth and pay your penalty. That's all.
"COP" is a job, that's all. Just like this little sissygirl OP going to her "job" in the fast lane.
The "cop" caught you in a speedtrap, YOU are the Moron <---I forget which one of you children wrote that but you will reconize your brillance and know I am speaking to you.
As for calling a Cop a "piggy", shows you're a little boy, dude. Cops haven't been called Pigs--not piggy--since Kent State. Google Kent State to see what it is.
