Default Looking for jobs in Affordable housing/historic redevlopment

Since this is quite specific, I figure it is a long shot, but worth a try. Graduating in less than three months with my Masters in Urban and Regional Planning. Want to work in affordable housing, yet it seems there are not many orgs that deal with this in the metro region when compared to, say, Chicago, or even smaller metros throughout the country. I am also interested in orgs that renovate/rent out or sell homes to lower income earners, some of which I am aware of in STL. Looking for suggestions that maybe I have overlooked in my search. Thanks.

**redevelopment. whoops.

^My best recommendation would be to get into contact with some of the more frequent posters on NextSTL.com; they're an extremely knowledgeable and involved group. Also make connections with the Landmarks Association of St. Louis -- love those guys.

Thanks. I visit both sites often and even cited Alex in a project for a class last semester.

^Sorry I couldn't be more helpful -- I suspect we're going to disagree on a number of things, but you seem like an interesting fellow with a lot of knowledge. I hope you'll stick around these forums some!

No, I really do appreciate it, and it is apparent that you care about the city, so no hard feelings here. Thanks for your replies.

So did you grow up here? What took you to Florida? Excited to come home?

Born in St. Louis, but not raised. Went there after getting my Bachelors in 2006, stayed until 2010, and went to Florida for my Masters. Would love to come back, hence this thread
