As above. By cities I mean places like Kirkwood, Creve Coeur, etc, as well as neighborhoods maybe (if possible). Any help is very much appreciated .

Thanks in advance

google earth city boundaries is a selectable layer. Probably will have the ability to click on those titles too which will likely be linked to wikipedia pages about the city. Good luck, we're all counting on you!

I'm far more proficient with google maps than I am with google earth - will it allow me to leave the city boundaries open so I can layer them on top of one another?

There won't be much overlap in St. Louis considering all the municipalities are separate. I just turned it on to inspect, and you can indeed turn on a "City Boundaries" layer. Zooming in and out will reveal the city name (for the smaller cities) the larger ones should be visible at most zoom levels. It's a pretty cool program if you take some time to mess around with, and there are numerous tutorials out there as well.

You can find the layers under: Layers -> US Government -> City Boundaries

Just google St. Louis, Creve Coeur, Kirkwood and the map will have the cities outlined in red

If you are just looking for a nice PDF of all the municipalities in St. Louis County (like the ones you mention, Kirkwood, Creve Couer etc), you can find a whole bunch of useful maps at the county web site:

Download Maps

The one called "cdpmunicipalities2000.pdf" lists all the municipalities in the county. There is also one for the school districts which is very useful too, since school district boundaries often do not match up with municipality boundaries.

These might help. I have the original PDFs too which have a bit more detail.
Had to leave out some of the smaller cities in north county for labeling, since I did take only 10 minutes to throw these together.

I think the one of the city can be of a great help! School districts is another google-earth label as well.

Layers -> US Government -> US School Districts -> Unified School Districts

In St. Louis it doesn't break things down by Elementary Schools or Middle Schools, but will show you the outline for the entire districts.
