HelpinMOtown is on a distinguished road
Default St. Louis Realtor using website to slander

In St. Louis, there is a Realtor who propositioned a buyer on behalf of his client - the seller. The buyer turned down the Realtor's proposition and the Realtor began using his blog to post negative posts on the prospect buyer. The prospect buyer was seeking to obtain a city permit for one of his properties. The Realtor used his blog to generate opposition to the permit.

Does this violate the Realtors Code of Ethics? Is there a way to prevent this Realtor from doing this to others in St. Louis?

Darn, I didn't think that anyone would even read a realtors blog. I would think that only if the realtor had a signed relationship with the buyer would he have a problem with the realtor board, but the person should call and make a complaint anyway. It can't hurt the person making the complaint and surely it might throw caution to the unscrupulous realtor. The other possibility is asking a lawyer if there is any other laws broken. If the realtor is spreading lies and defaming someone then maybe the lawyer can stop it.
