Default Clayton and South County

Hi,

Can someone tell me more about Clayton and South County - safety, crime, public transportation, quality of schools, home prices, job opportunities in insurance field?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

South County is about as safe a place as anywhere in the U.S. Middle class, large percentage of professional people...health care, teachers, pharmacists, gov't. workers, etc. Unemployment very low...crime rate extremely low. Clayton is the center of government for all St. Louis Co. It is upscale, lovely shops, dining experiences, county government buildings. Homes are expensive, schools very, very good. Multi cultured...few racial or cultural problems. South County is largely white, German, English, European ancestry, but is becoming more populated with Bosnians, who fled that country during the ethnic cleansing of the '90's. They are hard working, peace loving people for the mostpart. The population of Clayton is mostly white, with a smaller population of Af. Americans and immigrants from mid=East & Asia, mostly professionals...i.e. doctors, professors, scientists, educators. Hope this helps. Both are great places to live and raise a family. Good schools at all levels.
