Default Moving to Sunset hills, St Louis

Hi,

I am moving to Sunset hills next week for a project. I will be here for next 6 months or more. I am new to St Louis and not sure how safe Sunset Hills area is. Which part is better to live? I appreciate your responses.

Thanks,

Default Sunset Hills...

...is a very pleasant, upscale community in SW STL county. Primarily a residential area, just west of Crestwood, and just east of Fenton. Some corporate office parks, shopping, etc. Main drag is Watson Road, main shopping area is Crestwood Plaza, which has seen better days. Very few non-chain dining options, but many exist in Kirkwood, Webster Groves, and St. Louis Hills, all east of Sunset Hills on I-44. Good luck!

Thank you. Is public transportation available in that area?

Default Yes

I would certainly believe that a Metro bus runs along Watson Road and also Lindbergh (61), the major north south road.

I have lived in Sunset Hills for many years. Inspite of the "good old boy" style of government, it is a safe, convenient and quiet place to live. Some of the homes are affordable, but most are quite pricy. Traffic along Watson and Lindbergh is hellish during morning, lunch and evening hours. All the neighborhoods have friendly people in them and there is a sense of community throughout the entire city.

Sunset Hills has much to offer. You will be minutes from just about anywhere. Much to see and do. South Co. shopping south of there. Small plaza right in Sunset Hills. Walking park. I-44 will take you many places east and west for some good restaurants and shopping. Good Luck to you and enjoy St. Louis...Sunset Hills!!!
