The wife and I are looking to finish our basement in O'Fallon, IL this summer. I am having a real hard time finding a remodeler in the metro east. Most of the larger, and more expensive companies are all in STL County or further out west. Does anyone have any recommendations? Have already had Fulford come out and give a quote, but can't seem to find any larger companies with a reputation. We have approx 800 sq ft and are not looking to spend an arm and a leg (which would equal 40K+) but also don't want some "guy" doing it in his spare time. Thanks!

have you tried looking at Angie's list? I don't have any rec's, just wanted to point out you may find a good place there.

A good friend of mine just completed a home remodel in O'Fallon, IL which included a completely redesigned kitchen, new living room, and re-arranged mudroom/pantry. I think they spent a pretty penny on it ($80k or so) but it turned out really well and the company was pretty easy to deal with based on what he's told me. The company was located in either Chesterfield, or St. Charles. They'd shopped around quite a bit, and spent lots of time at the home show, but couldn't find a remodeling expert in the Metro-East and the Missouri companies didn't have an issue with completing his project.
