Default Maplewood Village Apartments

So, as I know this is probably redundant seeing as how someone posted an apartment question in another thread, I'll ask the question.

Anyone know about Maplewood Village Apartments? Decent area? Neighbors? I am asking because of the extremely low rent (when compared to other APT's in the area).

When visiting STL, I never made it South of the 64 (or 40 to some of you). I seem to remember reading Maplewood was a nicer area, but the rent for these apartments is listed at $465 for a one bedroom. That is very cool, but kindof suspicious at the same time. I only pay $439 for my current one bedroom and consider it to be in a decent area of town ... but, I also live in Alabama.

So, any info would be great.

The area is fine. It is not the hippest area, but solid working class. It is relatively safe. The most likely reason for the low rent is the fact that it is right by the train tracks.

I have a friend that lives nearby, in a similar apartment building, also right by the train tracks. I think he pays about $400 for a small one bedroom. He likes it because it is withing walking distance to the bars on Manchester and Sutton.
