Here it is: Ferguson is two-thirds Black but all the power is in white hands. This fosters cronyism, mistrust and disrespect. Only 3 of the 53 police officers are Black, the mayor is white and only one of the city councilmen is black. I haven't found any information about the school board but my money is on a similar makeup. Only a person with their head in the sand would not come to the conclusion that this is a recipe for disaster.
Was everyone appointed (Mayor, City Council, etc.) or by chance, was an election held?

Which the people of Ferguson elected... So who are you trying to blame for that?

If they really wanted a black mayor and black city councilmen, then that just means people aren't voting in the elections.

No, although for the record, it does not take a rocket scientist to understand the dynamics of the unethical practice of our country.

If your comment meant as a dig toward my education as a Physicist...rendered futile results.

Another person shot dead, a true tragedy..but because its a white person shooting a black person its huge national news.. The Black panthers, President and all the other so-called leaders of the black community get their TV time. But my question is , why are they not speaking out everyday about the thousands of young black youths killing each other EVERY day in Americas cities?? Its beyond amazing to me how the blacks kill each other everyday and its maybe a paragraph in the newspaper... IMO its time for the Entire black communities across America to look in the mirror. Only you can fix what's going on in our cities. Stop blaming others and change the cycle.. No amount of money can fix this..it has to be fixed from within.

This whole incident made me think about a few things-

- A mom will always love his criminal son and paint him like an angel.

- Are there any other racial groups that destroy their own neighborhoods in protest? It seems it's always the black people who burn and loot and have no problem living in the dump they create as a result.
Jay-Z and Dr. Dre must be sitting in their mansions looking at this and shaking their heads.

A week to release the murders name, release an unconfirmed video and have the gall to say county officials are not trying to stage a character assassination? How can anyone trust a shred of information spewing from and STL county representative.
Citizens should follow Charlie Dooley's suggestion to petition and allow a judge to remove Bob McCullough from his position. Ditto with the appointment of a special prosecutor to deal with Darren Wilson, Tom Jackson and Jon Belmar.

It's high time the people responded to the 1033 program which allow police departments to militarize themselves as they see fit. Who do they plan on going to war to fight against?

No justice, no peace.

Possibly the same reason we don't address the thousands of white killing each other daily or others. Sadly, we hear little of those in the sex trade industry as well.

The AA SHOULD take a look in the mirror however we shall should take a stern look in the mirror just the same.

This is everyone's problem; each of us play a hand in the unrest with or people. We have afforded such travesty.

Ah...He stole $50.00 worth of cigars...Strong arm robbery, and I saw video of this 250 lb. thug assaulting the tiny clerk.
Anybody who condones this behavior is a moral degenerate...

While I'm by no means happy with the St. Louis County police's response to everything that has happened up to this point, the part in bold really isn't accurate. Michael Brown's friend, Dorian Johnson, confirmed that he was with Brown when he robbed the store. Johnson is the same friend who was with Brown when he was killed.
Attorney: Dorian Johnson confirms he was with Brown at store robbery

I'm personally waiting to see what the FBI finds in regards to Brown's death.

This cop dealt with black people everyday on his job. He has never shot anyone before. Brown had to do something to get shot.

Where is the outrage against criminals when a cop is shot by a criminal?
