You'll hear racist comments in just about any city. I think that's just the way it is. And from what I've heard, car break-ins in cities aren't uncommon.

Off-beat, but has anyone ever heard a good scientific (or hell, even religious) theory for why humans formed in different races? I guess in evolution-science it would make more sense considering all animals have different "breeds" and characteristics and such ... but any religious explanation or specific scientific explanation?

I've always heard that it has to do with where they came from. African Americans generally lived in warm climates with a lot of sun exposure, whereas people who came from Sweden would be lighter skinned due to less sun exposure.
But I don't think that's scientific, just what I've always heard theorized.
The Bible says that at the Tower of Babel God spread people out and changed their language. He could've also changed their skin color and features a bit.
But I don't think anyone really knows.

That is what we call the "Rust Belt" affect. St. Louis was hardly the only city this happened to. Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee also experienced this as all five cities' economies just ran out of gas, and the great migration of many blacks to these cities caused the whites to flee to the suburbs. Northern cities, while they did not have segregation like the South, were still far from welcoming blacks with open arms. Sure there were job opportunities there for them, but whites clearly did not like the idea of a mass migration of blacks to their neighborhoods, so they got out of there. I'm not saying it is right nor do I think like this, but the simple truth is that's what happened. The South simply has a lot more opportunity these days than the Midwest or Northeast.

Yea, it's quite simple. First of all, it's been scientifically proven that the first humans on earth were black. It is likely that due to a change in climate and environment and as humans spread out around the world, skin did not need to be as dark because the sun was not as harmful. Biology and Darwinism and chemistry are the answers to pretty much any type of evolutionary question. Religious explanations in my opinion are about as useful as a spoon is for cutting up food.

But that's your explanations, which to me may be about as useful as spreading butter with a fork.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I happen to believe the Bible. So, please don't insult me.
Thank you.

Voting record, yes. Ethnic tolerance, no.

When we cater to their businesses, we are treated like second class. I understand how you feel, and I am sorry about that. However it is not you. I have Asian neighbors, and I'm always friendly to them. They just had a baby. The wife( she speaks little english) and I have been trying to become friends. One day she was so excited about the baby that she asked if I wanted to see him. I told her yes. We were laughing and smiling together about the baby with my two little boys (they were sitting on the side playing with her daughter). Her husband came out side and seemed very upset that she was showing me the baby. She quickly went into the house. I haven't seen her since, and when he sees us, he goes into the house, and does not allow my sons to play with his daughter. That's a regular scene around here. When African Americans are treated poorly by a culture, it is seen as a whole.

That's the #1 reason to why I hear negative comments about those of asian ancestry. I used to get into some ugly stare-matches with most of the asian males in my wifes former neighborhood, Viet bangers I believe.
I was born/raised here and have witnessed it all. Nothing the original poster is shocking, sooner or later someone is going to let you have it one way or another. You can handle it 3 ways (deal with it, fire back or run away). Pretty sure the kids did it out of boredom more than hate. Only thing that changed from old days is we are allowed to vote and use the same door/drinking fountain etc.
Am I racist? HELL YES, I hate rats/squirrels, roaches, flies and all kinds of pest. For some reason people have RACE twisted into what it's not. I am prejudice, cut me off in traffic and I'll utter my slurs no matter your skin tone.Other than that it's case by case. Welcome to USA.
Never be shocked to see "*insert ethnic slur here* go home" spray painted on your house or being the unwilling host of a burning cross in highly segregated areas. Of course it doesn't everyday to my knowledge, twice in lifetime is 2x too many.
