Try attending local social events, clubs or Meetup groups relevant to your interests? I don't expect you'll get much traction just looking for random internet strangers to meet with. I don't even know anything about you, except that you are sad.

Completely agree. As youth, we had school, school activities and summer / part time jobs so we interacted with a large variety of individuals. As we settle into careers we deal with a much smaller group of co workers and meeting new people requires more effort on our part. If there are not groups / events that immediately interest you, there are many social apps / computer dating services that do some of the work for you. You have to first be happy with yourself to be happy with someone else. Good luck!
