Default What is the area south of Creve Coeur Lake Park called?

Hi,
we are looking for a good place for a family, hence good schools, safe environment, withing about 20 minutes drive to the Boeing facilities northeast of Maryland Heights.
I would love to be close to a big park because I just love the outdoors, trees, and nature. I saw the Creve Coeur Lake and its park around it, but am not sure what the area south of it would be like and to what city it belongs.
Information would be great.
I also love the area around the Edgar Queeny Park, but do not know how long the drive for my hubby would be then.
We are hoping for a 4 bedroom house or 3 bedroom and a finished basement, over 2000 sqft, around the $400,000-$450,000 range.
Thankful for suggestions,
Marion

To the north of Maryland Heights Florissant and Hazelwood may be in your range (according to Google Maps both are between 15-20 min from Maryland Heights). You could also search in St. Charles (although I've heard the traffic can be slow). Des Peres is also probably in your range. Ladue, Clayton Richmond Heights. University City is also nice, but maybe a little bit over 20 minutes. Chesterfield may be close enough. Wildwood might be a little far.

As far Creve Coeur Lake Google Maps has it listed at Creve Coeur County Park. The nearest town to it is Vigus.

STLtoday - For Sale this one is in Creve Coeur, although south of the County Park. According to the map there's a small lake just north of the house, and according to the add the house has a view of the lake. Anyway, that one is (according to Google Maps) 12 minutes from Maryland Heights, but I don't know how traffic is.

It's $395k. 3 Bed, 3 Bath. 2,476 square feet.

There's some nice houses listed in Des Peres as well.

STLtoday - For Sale here's a nice one in Maryland Heights, which would save your husband some travel time.
4 Bed, 2.5 Bath, 2,811 square feet $359,900

STLtoday - For Sale $354,900
4 bed, 2.5 bath, 2,277 square feet. I'm not sure of the exact location, but the ad says it is:
Quote:
This home is within walking distance to Creve Coeur Park’s trails and lakes as well as the Old Farm subdivision pool and playground!
STLtoday - For Sale Bridgeton. 4 Bed, 2.5 Bath, 2,188 square feet, $287,000

STLtoday - For Sale Maryland Heights. 4 bed, 2.5 bath, 2,132 square feet. $259,900

STLtoday - For Sale Chesterfield. 4 bed. 4 bath. 2,796 square feet. $429,900.

Just south of Creve Coeur Park is Unincorporated and coroporated Creve Coeur, bordering Chesterfield. You have many, many opportunities to find nice homes in that price range in that area. On the other hand, if you're at Queeny, only a few short miles away, you have on one border of the park among the most expensive homes in our area, and on the other border of the park you can find homes for half of what you mention here. By no means an undesired area, but one of the most desirable here in town. Love both parks. Give me a call and I'll gladly show you around for what you're look for.
