What are some good things to do in St. Louis in the winter? I have a 4 year old and the science center does get old after a while. We are needing something new to do. Theres a lot in the summer but he is a high energy kid and doesnt have a place to burn all his energy right now.

The City Museum is a lot of fun. Blues games are fun as well.

The Magic House in Kirkwood was my favorite place as a kid.
Or you could go ice skating at Steinberg
And if it snows don't miss Art Hill

The Lodge at Des Peres.

You could also check into signing him up for sports at the Y or Vetta.

Some great advice here.

The Y has a TON of things for kids & adults to do. It's definitely worth the membership price. This would be the first thing I would do!

City museum is good year round & the aqarium is good for kids.

The Zoo's indoor exhibits are still worth doing.

Powder Valley Nature Center has bird watching, fish, and stuff all inside & lots of kid's activities.

You can drive through Lone Elk Park and see buffalo and elk.

Go on vacation. Flights to Europe are especially cheap in the winter if you can stand the cold. Otherwise Florida, Costa Rica, etc. are all options and you can still find cheap deals.

Go see the eagles @ Riverlands Park on the bridge to Alton, IL.

A lot of churches have activities if you're into the spiritual stuff. I know most religions are represented to some degree in the area, even scientology!

St. Louis is supposed to have a pretty big Bosnian population. Surely, there must be a fair or something celebrating Bosnian traditions?

Mardi Gras is going on this month.

I wouldn't think it's appropriate fora 4-year-old girl, though.

Ice skating at either Forest Park (city) or Shaw Park (Clayton) would be a good way to burn off some energy...

When my kids were small, I was a big fan of Chuckie Cheeses! The pizza sucked, but for 30 bucks or so, I could feed the monsters, let them run some energy off AND get a pitcher of beer!

It really wasn't a bad place to meet other single parents either! (yeah, I was a dog!)
