Didn't try the pizza, but had a nice dinner at Pirronnes over the weekend. We'll try the pizza later in the week....also, if you do go there...the salads are HUGE! A small one was enough for me and Kathy...

Okay, I've never heard of Jonies, but have seen a few Elicias. Are they really good? Who would you compare them too? Meaning, what style of pizza is it. I've always thought they were like a Domino's or Papa Johns.

Pirrone's Pizza is Tops!
Pirrone's Pizza in Florissant, is the best pizza in town. The original recipes came literally "off the boat" with a family of Cicilians named Pirrone, the patriarch named Angelo. His descendents still run his restaurant in Black Jack, and it's a bit of a toss up as to whose is best. I always choose Pirrone's because it is also 7 miles closer to home! Try them both!

NY Style Pizza
There is a "New York Pizza" on Euclid, right off Forest Park Parkway. It's alright.

NY Style Pizza
My favorite is La Pizza, in U.City at Bonhomme and Delmar. They have a couple of tables, majority of business is take out or delivery, but yo ucan eat it there as well, slice or whole pie. Word of mouth type of place only, no advertising. They have a website though.
Amis is in strip mall in Rock Hill on Manchester, but don't let that scare you away.
Feraro's in the Soulard is decent, self proclaimed South Jersey style.
Racanelli's is a local chain, several locations, CWE, and several suburbs.
There are others as well.
There are also other styles that are not St. Louis style out there if you are interested in those as well.
I prefer what you are likely seeking, so I have these places down pretty good. I'd start with La Pizza.
