The one and ONLY official St. Louis forum chat thread!
Yep, I do believe it is time for this as many of the topics being posted have little if anything to do with relocating issues to the city and surrounding areas. Of course the City Data Terms of Service does apply but this will be the place to relax and yack it up about pretty much anything that comes to mind. If you would like to have some discussion about something that would normally be considered "off topic" in the general forums then this is the place to post it up. Have fun folks!!

No offense, but in other forums I've heard that posting all news in one thread can decrease activity, since it can get tedious checking the end of the thread every time when the little icon shows new activity. On the other hand, it does decrease the likelihood of multiple threads.
I guess it just depends on the forum, though.

no offense taken and I did not say this is a "news thread"...this is where all of the non relocation related posts (read chit chat) can hang out. This has worked well in the general MO forum (the chatter box) and has worked well in every other forum that it is utilized.

It would have been nice if you had moved my threads so I wouldn't have to re copy and paste them
I'll post them again a little later. I'll be watching the Blues game at 7:30 so I'll probably be getting off.
It's lightning a little bit anyway.

It's been pretty tame here. Wind, rain, and some lightning.
There was a twister in Memphis today apparently.

well if I could have I would have but unfortunately the time frame thingy would have put your posts before my opening one and it really would have looked rather odd I'm sure the gang can hang until the game is over to read about the Fat Tuesday parade cancellation and the sad sitch with the fella that jumped out the window

Rain cancels Fat Tuesday parade
02/05/2008
UPDATED, 5:20 p.m.
The Light Up the Night Fat Tuesday Parade has been cancelled due to rain.
"There is no sign this rain is going to let up," said spokesman Mack Bradley. "We couldn't have krewes open up their floats in this rain."
The Fat Tuesday Parade is the final event of the Soulard Mardi Gras season, which included Saturday's Grand Parade and the Barkus Pet Parade. Both of those events enjoyed sunny skies and huge crowds.
However, fewer than 15 floats committed to tonight's march.

Wow. I know someone jumping out a window isn't a new concept, but I'm always kind of shocked to hear about it.
