I thought when you were saying close, you were thinking less than an hour. I guess if you think three to four hours is close, that's ok! I think you will like st.louis. I would say not to eat pizza at IMO's we hated it! but, they must be liked by someone, because there sure are enough of them. enjoy your trip.

For me, "close" means that I can drive there and I do not have to fly

For IMO pizza, do you mean this :Imo's Pizza - The Square Beyond Compare - Menu (http://www.imospizza.com/Menu.aspx - broken link) ?

Most people either love it or hate it. I like it myself.

Regarding Imo's, it's weird....I grew up over in IL and NEVER had it. But I always grew up loving thinner crust pizza and was in total heaven when we moved back to St. Louis and tried Imo's for the 1st time. Now THAT'S thin! And I love, love, love provel. On anything!! But it doesn't have to necessarily be Imo's (they're pretty proud of themselves, price-wise, I think)--I've had St. Louis style pizza at quite a few places that was just as good.

I like most pizza, if not all pizza. I'd be just fine eating Imo's. I'd prefer La Pizza on Delmar and Bonhomme in U.City, and some other choices first, Vito's, etc...before eating Imo's, but I'd eat Imo's pizza and salads and do just fine. I'm not a pizza snob by any means, but if given a choice, St. Louis style wouldn't be number one w me, neither would be Chicago Deep Dish.

I don't think I have a favorite kind of pizza because aside from toppings they are all so different. Sometimes I am in the mood for Imo's, others for Gino's East deep dish.

Why is it that half of the threads here end up talking about PIZZA??? Just a question?
