Sure, but even you, Fishtacos, observe some differences between the two. I think it's interesting to hear what other think on this, as the two communities are often painted with this broad stroke.

They may be very similar, but they're not exactly the same, which is why I'm asking for people's preferences. Actually, I'm kind of surprised to see Webster Groves winning by such a wide margin. I would love to see people's comments on the subject.

Wow, Webster Groves is kicking butt. I'm surprised actually, I thought more people would vote for Kirkwood.

No they aren't exactly the same of course, but in the grand scheme of overall St. Louis, they are very similar.

That's true, and they're also very unique when compared to other areas of St. Louis. They have different architectual syles and just a different feeling.

I've lived in Kirkwood and loved it. However, I picked Webster Groves because I loved going to the University there. If I could pick anywhere in St. Louis to live, it would be Webster.

They are both nice areas and extremely similar considering they border. My sister lived in Webster Groves and I think they have nicer homes.

We Love Webster!
OK- so I'm a little bias since we live here now....but we did look into moving to Kirkwood as well. I think what I like about Webster the best is the small town feel. It is much smaller than Kirkwood and still has that charm in the downtown area. Watch out for the taxes though!! There is hardly any large commercial tax base so it really falls on the homeowners shoulders. Save your $$$ to move in!
