Hey Everyone!

I've posted here before about Edwardsville, IL. I decided to just move to St. Louis. Now I need apartment recommendations lol. I'm 23, straight out of college, black single guy. I'm looking for an apartment in the Yuppie part of town. Nothing super fancy. Preferably has secure parking. MY budget is like $700-$1000 a month. Any suggestions?

And please do not say City West End Apartments. Those guys already scammed me out of cash, glad I didn't move there...the reviews suck.

Thank You

I don't know what yuppie means anymore... lol. Check out Tower Grove. It's the "garden district" with the botanical gardens nearby as well as close to the major infrastructure. I lived there for about six years. Only downside was the "knockout gang" had activity in the area and my back windshield got bashed in one night from some of the local youths.

lol i used to work there I have moved on to wayyyy greener pastures

But I'm not sure what you mean when you say "yuppie" either. I thought that termed referred to young white urbanites. Either way, I would choose a specific area to focus on first then focus on what is most important to you (ie secure parking, dishwasher, pet-friendly) then choose a community plus your budget is a bit tight for CWE, Clayton and Hi-Pointe. All places I would've recommending when you used the term yuppie.

Good luck

Plenty of stuff in Dogtown (includes Hi-Pointe) for under $1,000. Quick look at padmapper (there are obviously more sources for rentals...):

Those were in the upper $900.00's and pretty dated. Hence why I said "a bit tight"

Random update for whoever (probably no one lol) cares.

I've pretty much eliminated CWE from my search. Budget wise it's too much for so little, even if the area is super nice. I'm looking more towards Soulard and Dogtown.

Seems to be where a lot of restaurant industry people call home due to density of bars and restaurants. Hope you like to party/loud nights depending what street you're on. If you don't have designated parking at your building it could be a nightmare.

Yes, Soulard is much louder/more rowdy than Dogtown. Parking is also tighter.
