Visit this site: International MOMS Club. I don't know about their chapters in St. Louis, but when my kids were little and I was at home I helped start one of these chapters in Texas. Great way to meet other moms and find playgroups. Good luck!

Hey grmngrl8203
I am also searching for a mommies group, more specifically a multiracial famlies group. Our family is relocating to STL in May from Raleigh , NC. We currently belong to a multiracial families group and love it.

I found two great ones on the "meetup" website. Most areas had at least a group or two. I am moving from Brentwood, TN and are MOMS Club was amazing! Met friends for life through this group.

HTH!
Molly

My family is biracial family too, actually (chinese and welsh). How old is your child? My daughter is nearly four. If you know of any mommy groups, definitely let me know! :-)

hey bilikins
Our son is four, almost five. He is East Indian and Caucasian. I would love to find or start up a multicultural families group once we get to STL.

Meetup is a good site. My wife found a great mom group on Yahoo groups. Also Craigslist sometimes has groups. Actually, my wife's best friend she met from a Craigslist Mom group.

We will be moving to STL in July. I have a 3 year old daughter. My family is not multiracial (all caucasian), but I would LOVE being a part of a diverse moms group. I live in the Chicago area now, and both my daughter and I have a very diverse set of friends. I'm concerned that groups appear to be segregated in STL and I will be disappointed with that. Feel free to email be if you start a group up!

You won't find St. Louis to be any more segregated than Chicago. There are plenty of integrated neighborhods and cities just as there are in Chicago. Where are you planning to move to?

We are planning to rent for a few months and take our time looking for something we'd like to purchase since we are unfamiliar with the neighborhoods. We are attracted to U city, CWE, Tower Grove, Webster Groves, Kirkwood and Clayton, although Clayton is probably out of our price range. We spent last wknd in STL looking around.
