Nc Transplants
Hey there seems to be alot of us on here, recently relocated, or just about to, from NC to STL. We should start some kindof support group We live in Raleigh and are moving to STL in May. I wonder why the influx of NC people relocating to STL, coincidence maybe?? Maybe its the horribly over crowded school here, drought maybe?? I tell you if I have to listen to Mayor Charles Meeker tell me one more time to only shower once a day to help refill Falls Lake I'm gonna shoot someone. Anyway hello all. Hope STL is treatin you good!

Are most of you moving her and finding new jobs or being transferred or both? I've noticed a lot of transfers recently, which is always a good thing for a city!

Thanks Bobster for the welcome, NC seems to be a good place for retirees especially near the coast, Crystal Coast is beautiful.
aragx6- I'm not sure about everybody else but for us it is kindof moving back home. My folks live in southeast Missouri and we wanted to be close to them but my spousal equivelant, I like to call him, is a consultant in the IT business and has to live near a major airport. We are looking at the west county area for now.

My parents live on a farm situated between Advance, Bloomfield and Zelma. Its way out there to say the least. They been there for 30 years now. We used to go to Duck Creek, I think it is called.

I've lived in NC over half my life and love it here. I have family that live in the mountains and on the coast. It is a great place to live and I'm going to miss it. Besides NC, I've lived in VA, SC, and FL so its going to be hard to be so far from the ocean.
We're moving because of a job transfer. My husband is already living and working in the city and I'm left here until the school year is over. Shoot me an email and I would be happy to share any information I have found out about schools, etc. I love your idea about a NC to STL support group.
