Default Clayton childcare/preschool?

Hi there,

I am getting ready to relocate to the St. Louis area. I will be living in the O'Fallon area since all of my family is there, but I am interviewing with a company in Clayton. I thought it might be nice to find a childcare center for my 3 1/2 year old that is close to my office vs. much further away at a center in O'Fallon.

Does anyone have any personal recommendations? I am open to a Montessori program as well.

Thanks so much!
Molly

Hi Molly,Have you considered an au pair and the advantages of flexible, live-in childcare? (especially nice when the child is home sick) I am the Local Childcare Coordinator here for Cultural Care Au Pair, and could get you a qualified au pair from a wide variety of countries at a cost of about $325 per week. Would be happy to get you more info.Linda Shore314-303-1191

We used Clayton Child Center (www.claytonchildcenter.org) for both of our kids and were quite happy with them. The kids liked it too. I will warn you though that it is a little pricey. However, it is more pre-school than day care. They even have spanish classes!

We both worked in Clayton and found that having child care close to work was convenient. You don't have too worry as much about traffic problems causing you to be late for pickup.

If you look into CCC, just be aware that they have recently announced that they will be moving locations in February.
