Honestly I have looked at all nearby places in my price range and I really like The Pavilion in Maryland Heights. It's affordable, YMCA is literally across the street, nearby Creve Couer Park, and only 10 mins from my work. I want to pick out other places to tour too, though.

Well, the best answer I can give you is this:

I used Apartment Ratings when I moved to St. Louis the first time over 10 years ago. Whisper Hollow still has a 94% approval rating... I remember the Pavilion was always lower, but I didn't know it was that much lower. Crazy!

Update: I have put down a deposit for an apartment at The Pavilion. I know some show negative reviews, however I think I got a great location in the complex and it is top floor. I hope I love it (I think I will) and if not then it can only be a learning experience! Thanks for all of your advice.

Congrats, I think you'll be fine! Enjoy Maryland Heights, Creve Coeur Lake/Park, and your job in Bridgeton. Welcome to Saint Louis!

Really?
