Honestly anyone who thinks St. Louis is southern has never spent much time there and they're not worth arguing with

St. Louis is mostly midwestern, with a bit of southern.

Basically St. Louis has a lot of different influences.

Bobster is on a distinguished road
St. Louis IS a southern city....it's also a northern city and an eastern city....not so much a western city that I can tell...but that's one of the things that I like best about it. It's like one of those cars that is painted a color that depending upon how you look at it and the way the light shines off of it, can appear to be different colors at different times.

Ok, i feel very close to st. louis and feel i understand the city well. But you guys a have a little rep from st. louis (or supposedly st. louis) that is driving some people crazy, and in all honesty really giving a bad impression of st. louis.

Is it really that difficult to sift through the quality and non-quality posters, or objective and non-objective posters? I could say the same about some posters on the Chicago forum as well. There will always be someone bothering people on here or giving a bad impression of their city. But as you said, you know differently, so you can say so yourself the next time. And as you suggest, sometimes people aren't who or what they say or seem. I'm not going to let a few bad impression Chicago posters, or wherever posters, ruin my affection for Chicago either.

Have already fought that battle on several threads, and have the battle scars to prove it.
I look at it this way; let the know-nothings babble! We know how fabulous our beloved STL is. Some folks just have to have something to feel superior about, no matter what it is.
