Once you get to New Town it seems like a pleasant surprise, but I dislike the appearance of the immediate surrounds.
Perhaps there is a reason that us New Towners don't WANT convenient access into our pristine and superior neighborhood?

Just keep driving to O'Fallon or St. Peters - a cheaper, simpler and better fit for you.

As I said, I think the appearance of New Town has improved a lot since it first started going up. Truth be told I like it. I don't think the access is in anyway inconvenient as it is just 370 to New Town Blvd... I just said it wasn't very attractive.

I don't know how New Town can remedy that but it would be nice if they could figure out something.

Then again, I'm the kind of person who when giving directions to my house, tells people to get off at a less direct exit from 270 because I find the drive more "attractive" than up Lindbergh 😂. Petty peeves like that probably don't bother most!

I believe the HOA fees vary based on the location within the development & the style of the housing. But it looks like most single-family homes are $840/year, with the Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) charging an additional $309/year.

I also see a condos that are $864/year plus $110/month. And in the higher priced single-family homes ($300k+), it looks like $925/year plus $598/year for the NID.

You can get more info on the New Town HOA here: The New Town at St. Charles General Assembly

Thank you. Howard team. Where I am from, we have several condo/townhome communities and it is quite common to discuss assiocation fees.

Happy to help, Scottiegal. We deal with HOA fees all the time here. New Town is just a little more complicated because of the various types of housing in the development.
