It's my wife's birthday and I want to take her somewhere for a nice relaxing mini vacation. I have been looking at the 4 seasons in the lake of the ozarks. Her birthday is soon but we wouldn't go until late april or early may. She is also pregnant so could be fairly limited on what we can do (so that eliminates the wineries). Any other suggestions? Or any other places to stay at the lake? Thanks.

I have never stayed at the Four Seasons, but I am sure it is nice. You did post this under the St. Louis forum, and it might get a better response under the general Missouri forum. Have you thought about Branson? Aside from the lake there, there are also many many entertainment items - and if the coutry music thing is not your scene, there are a lot of the shows to be seen - illusions of pop stars, cirque de soile style, broadway, walzting waters, and many more. Again, there are locals in those areas that could share more from the general MO forum.

I was just in Eureka Springs, AR and fell in love. The town is effing adorable, and there are some great B&Bs in town if that's your thing.

I'll second that. But be aware that the town is built on the side of a mountain, and so many of the streets are hilly-- something to consider since your wife is expecting.
