I'm close to signing on an apartment in FPSE just south of Manchester on Swan ave. From what I've read that is the more problem area relative to the north side of Manchester. It's a nice place - recently remodeled, but looking at the crime maps I'm a little concerned. Does anyone have any experience with this particular location or insight they can provide? Thanks!!

If there are a lot of robberies and breakins, please take that into consideration along with it being a destination neighborhood for nightlife.

FPSE neighborhood has come such a long ways. I remember the strip on Manchester Ave was nothing but boarded up storefronts but now its all changed in a rather good positive way.. Its probably the hottest real estate market in the City of St.Louis and theres so much rehabbing and new construction going on.. The area itself is still a little sketchy however i can reassure you that you'll be fine as that area continues to get more redevelopment and investment..
