Hi,

I’ve never been to St. L, but I recently saw photos and was impressed by the gorgeous old architecture and parks.

Among the photos was a beautiful cascading waterfall in Kiener Plaza. When I look at the Plaza on Google Earth, however, it looks like the waterfall was replaced by a kids’ splash pad. Is that correct or are the waterfalls still present?

Thanks

No, the cascading waterfall was taken out when they redid Kiener Plaza a few years ago. I wouldn't say it was replaced by a splashpad, as the splashpad is in a different section of the park. The whole area was redone as part of the newly opened Arch grounds.

THanks. That’s a shame. The waterfall looked beautiful.

I liked it too, but the redone plaza is quite nice in its own way.

I think the waterfall was hard to keep clean as it was an attractive spot for the homeless population. It was kind of gross sometimes. I liked it, but I think the new plaza is nice and more useful overall.
