FYI: An aftershock of magnitude 4.5 occurred around 10:15 a.m. so we may feel this one for a little while longer!

Cool very different experience

My earthquake experience was very different than most on this website. I lay awake a few minutes before the quake thinking there was something very wrong. Couldn't put a finger on it, then just a few minutes later the shaking began. Weird. I must have good sensors.

That must be why we really felt it...we were upstairs asleep in our brick home in the city. My 5 year old came running in saying "someone's shaking my bed!" At first we thought someone was in the house, then we realized what was going on. What a weird experience!
I felt the aftershock too...the house started creaking, then the chandelier in the dining room swayed back and forth. Hopefully that's the last of it.

We felt the first one here (I didn't; I was asleep), but we didn't feel any aftershocks.

Default Strange coincidence?

Soon after I made an offer on my current home in Las Vegas, we awoke at two a.m. in the morning to an earthquake. The day before the quake you all felt, I made an offer on a home in Lake St. Louis. Maybe I should plan for this to be my last home!
