Relocating to the St. Louis area and looking for public schools known for working with ADHD kids. I’ve heard great things about St. Louis County but was wondering if there were comparable schools in St. Charles County that are effective in working with ADHD kids preferably at the high school level.

Interested in this as well. Same situation. So far, I can say the Clayton school district seems quite accommodating and attentive. But we have zero experience with other school districts.

My kids have been out of school for quite awhile now, but my kids were in St. Charles County (Francis Howell School District, to be exact). My youngest was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age (about 7, I think it was). IMO, they can handle ADHD diagnoses well enough.

However, later, my son was diagnosed with Asperger's, and the school not only did not handle it well at all, they didn't even TELL me they thought he was on the autism scale. I had to find out from a teacher, who told me off the record. AFTER they tried to get him kicked out of school. I'm still kind of bitter about that.

If St. Louis County is a good school district for that...stay with St. Louis County.

St. Louis actually has a very good SSD program that works well with most of the public districts in the area, I know they work well with Kirkwood but that is by no means exclusive.
