Default area to live in if working at STL airport

I am considering taking a job in Bridgeton near St Louis airport. Any suggestions on where to live would be wonderful. I am a single, 26 year old girl.

Might want to post it in the st louis forum. But you can live anywhere in stl because you can get anywhere in the city within 15 minutes.

If you want to save on gas, why not look at places along the metro route? Besides, I'm thinking there won't be much near the airport that would appeal to a 26 yo single person. There are fun places to live near WU and U City that are near the metro route, or U City is near I-170, which is an easy and direct way to the airport if you'd rather drive.

eglingirl, you might want to take above advice and check out this link for some additional info:...www.metrostlouis.org/....good (broken link) luck to you and yes, check out the Central West End and University City. St. Ann's is a pretty nice areas, also.

I would also suggest living along the metro route if that will get you close enough to your place of employment in Bridgeton. Either way, for a young single woman I'd suggest University City, the Central West End or Downtown St. Louis, especially the area near Washington and Tucker known for its lofts. For more info on those places you can search this forum. Good luck!

Default South City

I would suggest living in South City. It's definitely one of my favorite areas. I lived in St. Louis Hills for a year and loved it. There are bars. It's close to downtown and very close to a metrolink station (it has a big parking lot). Rent is cheap, it's beautiful and very safe.

the airport? i think thats what she was asking. check out florissant or hazelwood, good safe areas where you can get a nice house for a decent price and a very small commute to the airport and bridgeton area.
