Relocating Wentzville Area
Ok, after doing some more reading, I was wondering about the Wentzville area. Any info anyone can provide would be a great help. Looking to relocate and was first looking in the Florissant area. How are the schools, shopping, property value, crime and so on in Wentzville? We are looking for a couple of acres, hubby wants a workshop. We currently live in Central Florida. Hubby is from Wellsville, MO and wants to get back, but I don't want to live in that small of a town.

If you're looking for a combo of slightly rural but with access to a major city (and even closer its suburbs) Wentzville is a good option.
Used to be in the middle of nowhere, but it's been growing by leaps and bounds (as have property values) I'd need to know what you can afford to know if you can buy a coupla acres there- that's not too cheap anymore. You could look further west for cheaper land.
This is chain central. plenty of big box shopping and Olive Gardens and TGIFridays and the like.
The schools are above average, very solid. Crime is basically non-existent.

I think Wentzville is a GREAT place to live. It is very family friendly. Boone Trail is a wonderful school. All the schools in the Wentzville area are AAA rated! Quail Ridge Park is right off of hwy 40. Great walking trails and if you are a dog lover they also have an area that is off leash so all the dogs can run and play. You really don't have to go far at all for all of your shopping needs. Good Luck!

Wentzville is great area as is Foristell, I have a house for sale in a private lake and golf community, it is on a lakefront and has its own dock but is not on acreage. We are in Foristell, great community, wonderful neighbors...gated so safe environment.

Yeah, Wentzville is great & the only real negative I can think of about it is that it's pretty far out from the city. I know I wouldn't want to live there if I had to commute downtown everyday with gas at $4/gallon.

Yes, we currently live in Troy, which is even further out than Wentzville and commute to the Westport area for work everyday. With gas prices that high it is WAY too far out...I can't even imagine if we had to drive all the way into the city. Last month alone we spent over $800 a month on gas. Time to move in closer!

Yes it's like 40 miles. It also feels really far removed too because there's nothing around it for a while.
