Denis -- You are coming at a pretty time -- October is a great time to visit with many things to do. I live in Jefferson City and there will be a street festival here on October 18th. If you like to ride a bicycle try the Katy Trail along the Missouri River. Maybe visit a winery. Canoe the Meramec River at Steelville or explore a cave. There is much to see in St. Louis and Kansas City. Branson has a craft festival in October.
