That $100 Sony Table that arag found at Sears is a good bet. I bought one back in '96 and has been trouble free ever since. The only problem is newer recievers no longer have a jack for phonographic which is needed to amplify the signal. So, you may need to buy a pre-amp.

mrtwo00 is on a distinguished road
There is a great stereo repair shop off Big Bend in Brentwood called Alpha Tech. I bring in my audiophile gear every now and then and they do great work. They do have several "showrooms" with all ranges of gear. I can guarantee that they will have a record player for you.

I am still new to the area so I could be wrong, but from my understanding, Big Bend extends from Delmar, goes through east Clayton, goes through Maplewood, and then through Webster Groves. You got an intersection or something to give me?

(or I could just google it, but that's no fun)

Nevermind. I googled. I know exactly where that is at, as I drive by there everyday on the way home from work (when not taking the Metro). It's in Richmond Heights (or my understanding of it).
