Did you see this one? It's about 5 minutes from CPOP and in your price range. Just add a granite counter top and you're done. :-)

Coldwell Banker Gundaker -- Your site for St. Louis Real Estate

Here is another:

btw, if you are going to keep your kid at CPOP you'll want to live somewhat close. They are a really, really, really tight bunch and they pretty much socialize with each other 24/7 so you'll either be driving ALL the time or your kid will be left out if you are not close to the parish.

i saw them both! the first one already has a offer and the second backs up to 141. we bought the house in fenton. i drove it and it is 10 mins. to cpop. i don't find that far at all, do you really think that a drive that tiny will cause her to be left out? i hope not. i really do.

I don't think she'll be intentionally left out, you'll just have to do a lot of driving. If she plays soccer, volleyball, softball etc with her classmates, it will just be a lot of back and forth. Most families carpool but if your used to driving a lot, it won't be a big deal. I just hate driving my kids all over creation (I have three). One probably isn't a huge deal. Do add some extra cushion time to your drive because 141 can get pretty clogged at times.

Congrats on the house though! I'm glad you finally found a place.

i'm not a carpool fan, so that's not a problem. i don't want the legal liability of bunches of kids in my car, and same the other way. we just moved from el paso and the drive to school was 40 mins. so this is great! the difference is everyone had commutes like that there from all over, even mexico, so i figured 10 mins would be in the circle, but, you tell me it's not. she's in 1st grade, so not too many sports yet, i'm okay for a while!

i'm so glad to have a place too, now i can get my things from el paso!

Gotcha! In St. Louis most the people who send their kids Catholic just send them to their parish school so most people live pretty close. However, my nieces do private and they commute from Webster to West County everyday and they're fine.

I guess I'm just lazy.

10 mins seems close to me! i hate commuting! i don't consider that lazy at all, minimizing drive time and maximizing family time is the goal for everyone. i just think 10 mins is okay. i first looked at a house off henry and even that was 10 mins. but i do hope it doesn't cause her to be left out.

As long as you're willing to drive her places, i really don't think she'll feel left out. You may get a few snooty mothers who initially turn their noses up at Fenton, but to hell with 'em!
