This place in the CWE would be perfect for you-- looks awesome from the outside, comes right in at your max desired rental for a 1 bdrm, but is brand new, a block north of your job, and right in the middle of everything the CWE has to offer:

Tom's (right next door) is a great place to get a beer! Too many cool bars, restaurants and shops to mention. Not so sure about the gym situation there though. May have only the gym at the Chase Plaza locally, and I have heard that is not the best. So, you might have to drive 5-10 minutes to get to a nice workout facility, but other than that you'd be able to walk everywhere.
