Steelers Bar in St. Louis - Lets Make It Happen
Hello,
I recently moved to St. Louis and I can't find a Steeler's bar anywhere. I have decided to take action instead of sitting on my hands. I have started approaching bars in the St. Louis area in regard to running specials for Steelers games and featuring the Steelers game instead of the St. Louis Rams game. Additionally, I have a list of about 15 people thus far that are committed to coming to a Steeler bar if I make arrangements.
Steelers Fans of St. Louis, Unite!
If you are interested in watching games on the big screen, instead of a small tv in the corner...
If you are sick of getting dirty looks for cheering for a winning team...
If your palette craves a cold Iron City
Give me your contact info!!! I will keep you updated on my developments. TOGETHER, we can make a difference!

it is a little different with steelers fans...
Unlike most other sports teams, Steelers bars can be found everywhere in the world. NO JOKE. St. Louis not having a Steelers bar actually is quite an anomaly. This is the first town that I have been to in years during steelers season that doesn't have AT LEAST one. If you are interested here is a list of all known steelers bars throughout the us. There are over 1500 known Steelers bars throughout the world. It is quite impressive.

Your list shows 8 in the St. Louis area. What's the problem?

most of them no longer exist or are too far to drive for people that actually live IN the city. I did quite a bit of research in to this. In 2006, there were three that were feasible for city dwellers, however, they all seem to have come under new management or closed. There are a few out in the burbs, but I live near Benton Park and I like beer with my football. I don't want to have to take a 45 minute cab ride both ways. It is difficult enough to be awake and drinking by noon on Sundays... Don't need the long drive too ;-)

Hmmmmmm,,, sounds terribly committed to his team... C'mon, whats a little 45 minute commute each way to root on team?
Ya know, if they closed, maybe that's a sign then that the interest in this burg is not so high for such a rusty team.

Additionally, I have been to Steelers bars all over the nation on Steelers Sunday. It is a license to print money for a bar owner. Trust me. Even in towns much smaller than st louis. This is a Win / Win concept for bar owners and steelers fans...

hi sleaziep,
I am definitely interested in the Steeler's bar in STL. I just moved here too, and my boyfriend LOVES the steelers and we bought the expensive NFL package. . .but we'd like to meet other steelers fans and get out some more.
let me know when you find a good location!
p.s. -- we had some luck at an Irish bar on Hampton road, they have a ton of tvs (and of course they are all about the Rams, which we wanna watch, too)

I drive from the "burbs" into downtown for the Rams. Seems like you could go the other way just as easy.
Mike Duffy's on Clayton is listed (btwn Big Bend and Skinker). That's barely outside of the city limits.
