How about your kitchen?
Ingredients:
2/3 cup of milk
1 egg
2 tbsp. of sugar
1 1/4 cup of self-flour
1/4 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. of baking powder
Vegetable oil (Crisco)
Larger batch:
1 1/3 cups of whole milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups of self rising flour
Vegetable oil (Crisco)
Need:
a. Large skillet [prefer cast iron]
b. Large mixing bowl
c. Large funnel, ~3/8" hole works good
Directions:
1. Beat the milk and egg together. Mix all other ingredients, and then slowly add to the egg mixture, beating until smooth and creamy.
2. Using a funnel, drop the batter into hot oil [~375'F], working from the center on outwards, moving rotating motion. Add more oil as make more cakes - need to keep ~1/4" of oil, at minimum... but not too deep either.
3. Remove from the oil when golden brown and crispy - might want to flip after ~1 minute, same time on each side. Careful - its hot!
4. Place on paper towels.
5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar [and/or chopped fruit, whipped cream, etc.]
6. Contact ShadowCaver to have him help inspect.
7. Serve, and smile...
