I was born and raised in Fairview Hgts(further south from Wood River/Alton area). I cant say enough good things about the entire metro area. I lived there till I was 25 and moved to the East Coast. I miss it everyday. There are more opportunities available than most ppl know of and there are tons of things to do. Hopefully my wife and I will be moving back once the economy gets going again.

Default southwest ilinois

Hi, I saw your post and am relocating to Edwardsville or one of the surrounding towns next fall with my girlfriend who is originally from Peoria. I'm wondering if you might have any other helpful information/links for us. Edville is prob the place since I don't drive and ride a bicycle, plus the buses seem good.
Any info you might want to offer would be appreciated.
Cheers
Shawn
