There is a home called Blackburn Villa built by warren and Estella McElroy in 1911 it is near Rensselaer. Is there anyone that would have any information about this property. Is this close to Hannibal, Mo.

I am very familiar with Blackburn Villa. Our family purchased the property from the McElroy's in 1950. It lies about 20 minutes from Hannibal, Missouri in a small community called Rennselear. Although the house is now a complete shambles now, it was a wonderful place to grow up. Many of the original furnishings came with the house, including a very large oil painting of Estella's mother and grandfather clock that was a wedding present to them. The property is now for sale but completely gutted, even the plumbing has been ripped out. This may be very old news for you, but just happened to run across your email. Just curious if you are someone I knew from back in the day: Are you about 30 years old? and did you have a relative who worked for Prestige realty in Hannibal about 15-20 years ago?

I had met a girl from Rensselaer years ago, and there can't be too many from there!
