Default Moving to Glendale MO

I recently moved here from Minnesota (March). My husband and I are just bought a home in Glendale. The home is located on the east side of Berry and the west side Rock Hill. It is only a few blocks from Manchester. Wondering if anyone knows about this area. There are a few tear downs with beautiful new homes and some older homes. We got a good deal in a great school district (Webster) but wanting to know if I will be safe. Anyone know about this area?

I know quite a bit about the area. Grew up there actually. My dad lived in Rock Hill right at Kortwright and Old Warson (just north of Manchester) in one of those itty bitty little post war bungalows that fills that whole area.

I actually really like the area, the schools are very good and it's very safe.

I'm not sure what specifically you're looking for, but if you have more questions, feel free to ask and I'll help ya out! Congrats on the purchase!

Yes, Glendale is a nice area, and the homes there should hold their value well in the current market (and appreciate well once homes start appreciating again.) Being in the Webster School district helps, as does your proximity to Manchester Rd without being "too" close. It is definitely quite safe, and there are few downsides I can think of living there. Glendale is actually less expensive than living in the heart of Webster, so it appeals to more value oriented families who don't feel the need to live that close to "downtown" Webster (or "downtown" Kirkwood either), but still remaining in a very strong and stable school district. It is also somewhat less accessible for people working in Clayton (not so close to 170 as Brentwood/Rock Hill/Richmond Hts.) so less of the "Clayton crowd" lives there which helps keep values from getting too astronomical and there is less of a tendency for "teardown-itis". So I would classify Glendale as very desirable without being too desirable, and a very good family oriented area to live.
