Default cheap one bedroom apts. in west county

Hi! I am just moving to St. Louis. I just finished my student teaching (AKA I have NO money) and I am substitute teaching this next semester. I have a maternity leave substitute position guaranteed, so that is a little guaranteed money, but I don't know what my financial situation will be.

Does anyone know of any CHEAP places to live (preferrably dog-friendly)? I would prefer west county areas, but I am willing to look anywhere at this point!!
