3 local SLU Billikens are expected to be drafted, Kyle Patterson, Calum Angus, and Brandon Barklage. Also, native St. Louisan, and Notre Dame player Jack Traynor is a candidate as well.

I don't really follow soccer. I might follow it more if I had someone to root for.
Basically, it's:
Cardinals
Blues
Rams
I'm not much of a football fan anyway. It's so complicated and repetitive, but I guess to some extent baseball is as well.
Basically, baseball in summer, hockey in winter.
I read there are like 15 home games. If FSN plans to carry these, this possible new MLS team needs to work around Cardinal games, which is hard since the Cardinals play 162 games, and FSN carries pretty much every one. I have a feeling FSN will carry Cardinals games over about anything else.

A few quick notes on Garber's quick presser. He had a lot of nice things to say about St. Louis (of course), said there are some concerns about the stadium situation at Florida International University (turf field), Becks is absolutely coming back (his words) and he believes the same about Landon.

1:55 p.m. -- Don Garber is on the podium with some introductory. The St. Louis fans with some "We want a team!" chants to the commish.

1:51 p.m. -- We have our first supporters' club chants via the hometown fans who cleverly chanted "All we want is a team of our own" to the tune of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine.

Good evening folks. I am coming to you from St. Louis, which is experiencing downright Arctic conditions right now (at least it feels that way after four days in sunny Florida).

If you have any extremely wealthy friends that want to be part of the St. Louis ownership group, by all means call Jeff Cooper. He's begged every wealthy St. Louisan for many years to join his tireless efforts.
All games would be televised locally, that wouldn't be an issue. The league also has a deal with ESPN and the Fox Soccer Channel.
If St. Louis gets a team, you'll have your team to root for.

If it were up to me, I'd let you have the Wizards. I think they're close to building a new stadium, so I guess they're stuck for a while.

I don't see why MLS demands so much for a city to get a team that's the average American's 4th or 5th favorite sport.
