Default Looking for a suburban community near St. Louis...

I'm moving to St. Louis on 4/20/09 due to a relocation. I'd like some help finding a fun and safe community. I'm 41, single, no children, like to work out at Bally's, occassionally like to visit Buffalo Wild Wings, and I'd like to join an Episcopal Church.

I'll be working in downtown St. Louis and would like to be within 25 miles or so of the city. Thanks!

Well I know there is a Buffalo Wild Wings in Creve Coeur (just west of 270 on Olive), a Bally's in Maryland Heights on Dorsett and St. Peters Episcopal church is right there at Ladue & Warson, which makes Creve Coeur a great location for you if you can afford the prices there. Even though schools do not matter to you, being in either the Ladue or Parkway districts will help keep your property values up. And it is definitely safe there and as for "fun" that is up to you to decide. There are various places you can rent on or slightly off Olive depending how much you can spend, and how far west you want to live. I personally prefer Creve Coeur east of 270 over the neighborhoods west of 270, but both are definitely safe and hopefully fun (for you) places to live.

What wu said makes sense. What's your budget and what are you looking for? An apartment? condo? townhouse? Single family home?

Do you like older suburbs with an inner-ring feel that are more walkable or do you like newer suburbs that are more car oriented and farther from the city?

What exactly does fun mean? That would certainly help.
