History Channel usually reairs them on Tuesday nights, but I'm not 100% on it. You could also try Hulu, they usually have most programs. From the way it was explained, BOD is a Crip set.

I found it on iTunes under "Gangland - Boys of Destruction" for $1.99. Interesting program...most of the violence it detailed happened in the late 80's and early 90's, and it said the gangs are loosely organized now, but still active.

I downloaded it from iTunes last night (thanks a lot OA 5599) and watched it. I would have to agree with OA 5599 in saying that the gangs were very organized in the late 20th century. But the modern gangs are very loosely organized and just randomly kill.

It is DEFINATELY not BS. It was all true and there was a lot left out. I am speaking what I know, not what I heard. Dorsey was a crazy MF- FOR REAL. He would have absolutely LOVED the fact that he was being talked about on a national tv show. He lived to be a gangster and he wanted EVERYBODY to know it. At 18, he had the reputation of a 30 year old and it was well understood by ALL in the streets that he was not to be trifled with. The BODz are crips- rolling 60s. They don't "run the streets of St. Louis" (st. louis criminals are too unorganized for any body to really do that these days) but they are well known on the west and north sides for dope and banging. They were out of control throughout the 90's with the banging. They were dropping major bodies. It has slowed down alot since then and become more about getting MAJOR money. As for OG's, the two guys that did most of the talking in the documentary (Rainbow & Piper) are two of them. They are like 36-38 now, but we are talking about a gang that was started in 87-88 by 13 & 14 year olds, so they ARE the original BOD'z. Right now most of the originals are dead or in the feds (or in Piper's case- just coming home from the feds).

i'm bout to watch it...my boy saw it and hit me up about it....from what he told me it's all true.....even the part about hit-man t getting dug up.....i'm from that era.....only part they left out was that we beefed with them way harder that the horse shoe did...our hoods were literally a few blocks away and they didnt want to see us especially after dorsey died. some of yall wouldnt know about the bod's because they started in the 80's........they were BOD's before they were ever crips it was a hood gang thing....they became crips during the migration of gang members from L.a. thast why the beef with hit-man t went so hard because the bloods on the hirse were from l.a...hit- man t, snow-boy...etc. bod's were not even bout that until them cats came down...and after dorsey died they fell all the way off. the cats that held it down as far as westside crips after that was the bad block....59 wabada....but as far as the west went with bloods it was always 1100 hodiamont...(were i'm from) formerly known as the westside rockers in dorsey day and 55 aka the horse shoe. i'm gone watch it and tell yall how true it is...i had a first hand account to all of this........even dorsy getting killed and hitman t

There are some gangbangers in st louis. Well, there used to be for sure, over at this swingers club I knew of but they don't bother anyone, I mean there is a covercharge to get in even and you can just watch if you don't want to join in.

As far as gangs in st louis, I've never heard of such a thing. I have no idea if they really exist or not but if they do they are probably in the poor areas and who would want to go to those places anyway. Anywhere where normal people in st louis would be going there are no gangs and it's perfectly safe. I mostly drive around west & south counties and I've hardly ever even seen a crime, much less a gang person.

^ Obviously there are gangs in St Louis. It's a metro of 2.5 (or 2.8) million and there are a lot of murders on the north side still, unfortunately. I'm not sure how relevant "BoD" or "Horseshoe Posse" are these days, but the people on TV were ridiculous. Rainbow seemed like the kind of guy I'd want to take to lunch just to see how stupid he really is; the guy could barely put a sentence together. Then that dude that said "It's like Iraq out here" with the black glasses had to be incredibly intoxicated every scene, and his mom is obviously an idiot too for thinking she would move her son away from the violence by leaving one part of north city for another part of north city. He was wobbling around every time, and I am a white dude in Dogtown and I would laugh in that guy's face if he was trying to act hard in my neck of the woods.

Then the guy who was part of the Horseshoe Posse who was a big part of the show, can't remember his name. That guy seemed like a total douche. He's one of those gangbanging losers who tries to be all philosophical when at the end of the day, he's going back to his house that appraised at $10,000 on the north side.

Overall, I never hear of either of those gangs. I see some BoD tags but that's it - nothing in the papers, etc. They are irrelevant if anything.
