Easy, skippy. No vendetta. Just making light of it.
I'm not sure if the Cardinal uniforms ever said "St. Louis" on them. Most of my local sports attention span goes to the Blues, so I would have to defer to some of the more hardcore fans/sports trivia geeks.

According to my father, it was sometime in the 20's, during Rogers Hornsby's tenure. When he was a player, he is often seen wearing the "St. Lous" on his shirt, but later pictures show the birds on the bat.

Adam Wainright is a B-E-A-S-T.

27-3 in their last 30 when Carpenter, Wainright, or Pineiro pitch.

Thank you kind sir. I figured it was no later than Hornsby era.

No matter what state I've lived in...always 'bled' Cards red and Blues 'blue.' StL is THE best sports town. I've lived many other places, and nowhere found a better or more dedicated fan-base either.
