Default ATT's Uverse question?

I was wondering if anybody in the STL area has ATT Uverse television and internet service. I have been thinking about switching away from Charter and am considering Uverse, probably because they send me mail at least three times a week wanting me to switch. Does anybody in the STL area recommend it? Thanks in advance!

If you have the option go for it. Charter is horrible.

Thanks for the response. I have been thinking about making the switch but I don't know anyone that has made the switch and I did not want to be the first guinea pig. LOL Can you please give me the lowdown? The pros and cons?

Thanks for responding. You got me actually wanting to switch now. Do I have to have existing home phone service or do they come and wire my home with fiber optic cables or something?

You dont have to have phone service at all. They use phone lines and they had to run new ones from the poll to my house but that is all included in the installation.

ATT cell phone reception is inferior to Verizon from my experience. Also, I have DSL with ATT-- when I have a problem with my DSL, which admittedly has only happened a couple times in 7 years, I wind up having to spend hours waiting on the phone and speaking with minimally skilled, foreign, help desk techs. Very frustrating. Needless to say, my wife has an Iphone, so we are on the ATT family plan and I am thinking of getting Uverse.

I had a problem with my U-Verse box and they were at my house in 2 hours with a new box.
