Where are the high end clubs in St. Louis? I just moved here and the ones that people have recommended to me are crap. I lived in Los Angeles for quite awhile and the swanky clubs weren't hard to find. I visit my relatives in NY and there are classy clubs galore there of course. I'm just not pleased with what I'm finding in St. Louis. Maybe I'm not navigating around St. Louis properly, but I need some recommendations on the best nightlife that St. Louis has to offer.

Surely you didn't think St. Louis would have the same sort of nightlife options you had in the nation's 2nd largest city right? Regardless, St. Louis, like Chicago, is a bar town not a club town.

I knew it wouldn't be like LA or NY, but there has to be some glam spots in the city.

Again, where have you been? I'm definitely not an expert on the subject, but I think you'll find most of the regulars on this board aren't going to be a whole lot of help. Bars? Oh we can help with bars, but I don't think anyone is much of a club expert.

My wife likes Rue21 (I think that's the name). I have never been there. Not sure if it is "glam" or not. I typically only do bars myself.

I think you are thinking of Rue13 (it's on Wash Ave). It's not glam by any means. They have an 80's night on the weekends that's kinda fun...LOL..yes, I like the 80s
There's this place on Wash Ave called Lure (it looks kinda uppity to me anyway). Has the hardcore looking door guys in all black and most people going in are all dressed up but I've never been and probably will never go there so I wouldn't know what it's like inside. I heard of this place called Pepper Lounge that was supposedly pretty cool..but again, never been there. I'm a bar girl myself..just get me to Hair of The Dog and I'm good to go!

There's this place on Wash Ave called Lure (it looks kinda uppity to me anyway). Has the hardcore looking door guys in all black and most people going in are all dressed up but I've never been and probably will never go there so I wouldn't know what it's like inside. I heard of this place called Pepper Lounge that was supposedly pretty cool..but again, never been there. I'm a bar girl myself..just get me to Hair of The Dog and I'm good to go!
